Hello.
I know it has been ages since I last blogged, feeling kinda bad right now. I'm sorry dear blog, promise i'm doing my best at balancing everything that's going on right now. And that includes... making sure we get our invites to catch Iron Man 3 (heck! nothing can stand in the way!)
Robert Downey Jr has always been delicious charming and talented (gosh, he's got such a great sense of humour) he's in my top 10 (okay irrelevant I know, moving on..) Why would we not look forward to this upcoming blockbuster? nothing could go wrong with Gwyneth Paltrow as the leading actress in this action film.
This entry my friend, is about how I would customize my Iron Man suit and what to name it in order to win my pair of invites (pretends I don't see this entry after this nyek nyek) to the premier in two days time. I know I'm a few days late, but Annie if you are reading this.. see I just gave you a shoutout heehee *puppy eyes*
Well, Brian and I were discussing and he said, "why not add in a feminine touch? you've always liked fashion so add those girly stuff".. in my head I thought "yea..and then call it one of those Powerpuff girls."
Can you imagine? "I'm saving the world kabahhbooomm"
If I could customize my Iron Man suit, these will be the main unique selling points (USPs) :
a) Anti Perspiration material
With all that flying about and crashing on hard surfaces, you think Iron Man would sweat like Ac qua Di Gio? of course not. And I'm anal about scent, a man should always smell good. Even when sweating. To aid this, perhaps my customized suit would have an in-built fan so that it is always kept at room temperature >.<
b) Quick change elements
Wouldn't it be great to fight enemies while looking good? By looking good I don't mean just the hair or physique, but the clothing (or outerwear) that makes my suit. If only the steel could function like how the quick-change does it.
One moment I'm black, the next I'm white. How awesome is that? One moment I'm ready for a party, next I'm at the battlefield.
My costume would also be able to camouflage to conceal myself from enemies.
What about a sensor to detect emotions and moving objects apart from having the be made out of super heavy duty material to take on huge ass monsters? Sounds like a plan. Not only would I be able to camouflage, I can turn into different sizes and shapes.
c) What do I name it?
The coolest outfit on earth. It's called the Bloomer.
(taken from Amelia Bloomer, an activist who began to wear costume in the early 1880s, which promoted fashion in women and in dress standards for women that would be less restrictive in everyday activities. Read more here)
So this is the bulldog story.
Brian has been wanting to start a comic blog so he can embarass us with our witty conversations 'graphically'. Feeling a little unjust, I dared him to.
So he sent me this picture of a bulldog, "you look like this when you get angry."
Rarr rarr rarr he attempts to bark like a bulldog (i know right, so romantic..)
"Sigh. It's okay, they're toy dogs, so cute."
"But bulldogs are NOT toy dogs."
He sends me this to justify how huge they 'actually' are.
"Wait. Let me show you how a bulldog REALLY looks like," I replied.

I sent him a picture of Patches (coincidentally named the same as his dog at home) whom I have had with me for years
See, it's SMALL and it's my TOY, which makes it a toy (dog)
a little humour a day, goes a long way *runs

So the bunch of us have been really busy lately with work and our day to day stuff but we managed to finally sit down and catch up. Although dinner was good, meeting my friends was even better. So this is our belated Christmas cum New Year dinner.
Did I not mention that we had our own secret santa too? :D
Danie & Ezra
Salmon Pizza *inserts fancy name from B.I.G
Ham and pepperoni *inserts super fancy name
Best gift wrapper ever! (from Lydia) she knows just how much I like the place heehee
Basically we are supposed to get a gift that represents us and at dinner we would pick a name and present our gift to the lucky person.
Our lawyer can be creative too! =P
Also brought the polaroid camera, making good use of it and it takes beautiful pictures.
Thanks for the memories and a great start to this year.
Realized just how much I have abandoned this space, there are so many things that I want to blog about but there's hardly any time =S We recently did a green screen shoot for a friend's upcoming video production. Not going to share what it is about yet but let's just say... it has something to do with the GangNam style? =O
yes it was evident that Brian was flirting -_-"
Initially they were looking for just a lead Chinese girl (you know, the whole 1Malaysia thingy) and the plan was that Brian would accompany me because he wanted to be there to watch me embarrass myself. Then last minute they needed a Chinese guy to be in the shoot... and so you can guess what happened next :D
It's a sign. He's always been a fan of Psy (*cues ringtone)...
even attempted to dance on the speedboat in Redang.
With the help of lil miss, here's their ending pose.
So anyway speaking of the shoot, we spent the whole day and night at the studio experiencing our first shoot together.
We were also told to bring clothing of different kinds (white, casual and traditional).. you don't want to see me in a CheongSam =S
Photos from the shoot:
(instagram effect =P)
and here's my chef of the day =P

In the last week or so I've seen at least 10 condo and apartment units.
A duplex.
A studio.
With a lovely infinity pool overlooking the city.
We never had to worry about starving or having a place to live when we live with our parents but this year marks my 6th year living on my own. Of course I miss home, my parents and friends whom I see almost every quarter (only) and time flies. Looking back, most of my friends would joke about filming a horror film here in my current place, but to me, this place is filled with memories of people and series of happy moments and misadventures, it has been a great shelter to me. So I'm leaving half heartedly but looking forward to create new memories in my new place.
I also remember taking 20 mins walk to campus everyday and walking back after lectures. It wasn't that far of a walk, don't know why we used to complain last time. But anyway, glad to say that I've finally settled for a place.
The best part about shifting to a new place is shopping for furnitures. I'm sure most of us love window shopping and admiring the layouts in IKEA, so I went to scout for stuff to fit in my studio unit *excited*
Still, so not looking forward to packing up boo.
Which are the easiest resolutions to achieve?
Answer-
To forgo one or more resolutions, to gain weight *laughs*, and forget about creating any resolutions when we know for a fact that many of us will somehow lose track of them a few months down the road.
Here are my highlights of twenty twelve.
1) MUST WATCH films
The Dark Knight, The Avengers, Life of Pi, The Amazing Spiderman, The Hobbit, Snow White & The Huntsman, Hunger Games, Silent Hill, Man on a ledge, Abraham Lincoln, Mirror Mirror, The Bourne Legacy, Perks of being a wallflower, The Vow, Ted, Looper, The Lady (starring Michelle Yeoh), Rise of the Guardians, Here Comes the Boom, Pitch Perfect, and Jack Reacher.
2) Music albums that I can listen to over and over again
Pixie Lott - Young Foolish Happy Tour
Train - California 37
Aerosmith - Devil's Got a New Disguise (The Very Best of Aerosmith)
3) Places we visited in the past months
Bali, Perhentian Island, Redang Island, Phuket, Malacca, Penang, Johor, Kota Bahru, Ipoh, Taipei, Fraser's Hill, Chiang Mai, and Cameron Highlands.
4) How old are you now? Turned twenty four this year but still acting like I'm twenty one (sometimes even thirty depending on the time of the month *laughs*)
I also learned that God works in mysterious ways, he challenges your faith and when you think things aren't working out and the world seems to be against you, eventually he shows you what is right and guides you to become a better and happier person.
5) Lucky to have met a wonderful man who constantly makes me laugh.
Dear Brian, if you're reading this, I know it is not going to be an easy journey, and that I can be full of sh*t sometimes but thank you for your patience, love, persistence and for those times you crack jokes and made me feel like I'm your comedy (I swear that wasn't sarcasm) *giggles*
6) Bought my favourite hatchback and still loving it.
7) I've made many great friends, mainly my two girlfriends Lydia and Danie who are always there to laugh together over silly things that matter, over people who don't matter anymore, and everything else. Put us three together and you get a mix of spontaneous, witty, and funny conversations. Love you both and thank you for constantly encouraging me not to give up and for helping me smile again.
8) Concert of the year - Train @ KL Live
9) Yummy makan/drink/dessert places - Super Kitchen Pan Mee, Uncle Cheng's Beef Noodles, Last Polka desserts at The Bee, La MeeYa, Watami, Chilli Rush @ Jaya One, Nando's and Hokkaido (oh and GongCha).
10) Also a year filled with gifts, celebrations, and fun times. From birthdays to anniversaries, family gatherings to public holidays. You name it, we always find a reason to celebrate or go somewhere.
11) Best shops ( and everything under the sun) - Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, Sephora, SaSa, Cotton On, Charles & Keith, Asian Avenue @ Sunway Pyramid, and Watson's (still my favourite personal store)
12) All time favourite social media platform - Twitter
13) Hairstyles and hair colour changed from long to short, short to long, brown to dark brown, purple ends, pink and blonde streaks and back to brown.
14) No longer a blackberry user, forced to change to touch screen but it's doing a good job so far
15) Favourite quote this year -
Remember that when you hit rock bottom, there's no where else to go but up! so smile.
16) Going into my third year working for a great company. What more can I ask, twenty twelve has been fulfilling but let's hope 2013 will be even better! Happy New Year's Eve guys!
When 2013 comes, tell yourself "This'll be my year" :)
xoxo
The first time I met Brian's group of friends, the first thing they told me was that I ought to get him to wear shoes more often.
Of course I went, "nah... i like him the way he is.."
No actually what I said instead was, "Really, why?" (because they say we have to hear both sides of the story right?) So one day I decided to ask him.
Me: "How come you're not vain at all?"
Him: "I guess I'm just not.."
Me: "But you're only young once"
Him: "But I've caught my fish" (like it has anything to do with looking vain)
Me: "Still, even if you've caught your fish you can still dress up"
Him: (looking for a comeback)
Me: "See even now I still dress up who doesn't want to look good"
Him: "But I wear shoes now, you should see me when I was single.."
(Both burst out laughing)
You know how we sometimes have that one item that we never want to let go, like that smelly pillow always sitting at the corner of the bed or that one toy we still keep because it reminds us of our childhood?
(inserts uncleslippers.jpg)
Well, his slippers are definitely well treasured. And of course not, I didn't buy him a new pair for Christmas although I was tempted to XD
